Acer Iconia A1-810 Targets Apple iPad Mini for Direct Competition
A quick look at the Acer Iconia A1-810 shows us that it is aimed at one particular tablet model, specifically the Apple iPad Mini tablet. Both have the same 7.9″ IPS (1024 x 768) LCD display
The display has been criticized for its mediocre pixel density and like Apple, so Acer can’t really brag about it. The tablet seems to include a number of budget-oriented specs, including the 1.2 GHz MediaTek ARM Cortex A9 quad core chip, 16 GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM.
There’s a 3250 mAh battery to keep the device humming for an entire day. The camera on the rear weighs in at 5Mp and it is accompanied by the less capable VGA shooter in front. The slate will have Jelly Bean (Android 4.2) preinstalled out of the box and it should be launched officially in first week of June. A French retailer says that it will soon take pre-orders of the Acer A1-810 for 199€ or $260.
