Nexus 7 Tablet

Nexus 7 TabletSources from upstream chain reported that Google and Asus are partnering again to release the 2nd generation of Nexus 7 tablet. The device makes it first official appearance at Google I/O even on May 15th. As a follow-up to the original Nexus 7, we will see a number of enhancements including thinner bezel and a 7” display with full-HD resolution.

The Wi-Fi only model could remain in the same $199 and $249 price range. The current 16GB WiFi-only model is priced at $199 and the 32GB model at $249. Following an update released in December, the Nexus 7 is currently running the later version of Jelly Bean, Android 4.2.1.

It’s acceptable to suspect that the newer Nexus 7 tablet would run Android 4.3 or 5.0. However, it is commonly expected that the Key Lime Pie will be launched in Q3 2013 along with a brand-new Google Nexus smartphone model. For the time being, we still don’t know whether buyers should hold off from getting themselves a Nexus 7 tablet today.
