Asus previously announced the Padfone Infinity tablet at MWC 2013 and it is now taking pre-orders from consumers in Taiwan. In its core, the Padfone Infinity is a smartphone with 5” full-HD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor.
The chip comes with the built-in Adreno 320 GPU crunching the 3D graphics, while the 2GB of RAM should deliver appreciable multitasking performance. The 2,400mAh cell should keep the phone humming for a whole day with moderate usages. The Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS offers more mature capability over the previous 4.x versions.
The phone can be inserted into a tablets-shaped docking station with 10.1” 1080p display in the front and 1Mp front-facing camera. There’s also a 5,000mAh battery to further extend the operational duration of the whole assembly.
The 32GB version is available for $702 or 20,990 TWD and the 64GB version for $769 or 22,990 TWD. There are two color options for users to choose, pink and grey.
