Lava Etab Connect is a low-cost tablet, which features a 7” WVGA TFT LCD display and 3G voice call capability. There’s enough space on the front to fit a VGA camera. Another 2Mp shooter rests on the opposite side. The Etab Connect is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 single-core processor, which is underpowered for many tasks owing to its older architecture.

Partially contributing to modest multitasking capability is its 512MB of RAM. The Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS can be considered as a slight shortcoming, as other tablet makers already release new models with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Users will drain power from the 3,000mAh battery, which could sustain slightly more than three hours of web browsing.

Its voice calling capability may not count as an important attribute for buying the Etab Connect, but this should be an appealing feature in emerging markets such as India.
