Since the original iPad was released, many have expected that Nokia would soon respond by launching its own version. For years, the Finnish company continues to deny the existence of a Nokia tablet, but sources from India recently came out with the revelation that the much awaited unveiling will be held on May 14 in London.

There’s nothing remarkable about the rumored specs; the tablet may offer 1GHz single-core processor, 10.1” (1366 x 768) display and 1GB of RAM. It will weigh 676 grams and measure 9.7mm thick. If this is true, Nokia’s tablet would have very slim chance of surviving in a market crowded by much more powerful competing models running iOS, Android and Windows RT/8.

Previously, Nokia might have accidentally leaked its tablet model during a presentation. The company responded, it is merely a generic Windows 8 tablet used for comparative purposes. Other Nokia devices expected to arrive in near future including the Nokia 928, Catwalk and PureView-equipped Lumia EOS.
