AnTuTu benchmark app is one of major sources for specs detail of unannounced devices. A result appears recently showing the Samsung GT-P5200 tablet boasting an impressive score of 24,616 point. The model number seems to indicate the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

It should be noted that Samsung has abandoned the GT-PXXXX naming scheme and what we see here could be an early prototype. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the final device may have better performance level. Samsung’s new tablets would have “SM-TXXX” naming scheme. It may feature 10.1” (1280 x 800) display, 1.6GHz quad- or octa-core processor and Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2) OS.

The new tablet could be about 5 times more powerful than the current Galaxy Tab 2, which wasn’t particularly powerful even when it was first released. In recent years, Galaxy Tab lineup is no longer considered as premium tablet models and the 24,000 point mark makes the mystery tablet looks rather alluring for Samsung’s fans.
