Samsung Will Use AMOLED Panel For Its Upcoming 10.1” and 11.6” Galaxy Tab Models
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is Samsung’s only tablet equipped with its trademark AMOLED panel. But a recent report said that the South Korean company is revving up its motor and planning to apply the technology to devices with larger displays.
Given the fact that Samsung manages to use full HD AMOLED panel on the Samsung Galaxy S4, we can expect to see the same panel on a 10.1” display. Others said that Samsung will release a Galaxy Tab model with larger 11.6” display.
The Galaxy Tab lineup was originally designed to take on the Apple’s iPad. But, the arrival of Sony Xperia Tablet Z makes it necessary for Samsung to update its tablet models. Sources said that the tablet will be named the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus and powered by the Exynos 5 SoC. There’s a possibility that the tablet will be ready for unveiling at IFA 2013 this August.
