The Asus Vivo Tab RT seems to be designed as a Windows tablet for the masses. It comes with Microsoft Office 2013 full version, Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 10.6” display. Customers are no stranger to the Asus’ great build quality and the aluminum chassis is both sturdy and good to look at. The tablet is reasonably thin at 8.3mm and it is suitable for both work and play.
The bigger display should be a boon for multimedia lovers and business-minded users would appreciate the clamshell setup. The keyboard dock features an extra battery and a USB port, but it is unfortunate that the tablet itself comes with proprietary ports, which require special adapters. Boasting a 1366 x 768 Super IPS+ display, the Asus Vivo Tab RT looks pin-sharp and bright.
The 8Mp rear camera feature autofocus capability, a bit unusual for a tablet, and the 2Mp front shooter should be adequate for any Skype call. The Windows RT interface feels fluid and responsive, flicking through apps is reasonably smooth thanks to the 2GB of RAM.
