Casio Releases Two Durable Tablet Models
Casio is mostly known for its wristwatches, calculator, compact cameras and other small electronic devices, but now, the Japanese company has decided to join the tablet space. Casio adds a twist to its tablet models (V-T500-GE and V-T500-E); both seem to be more rugged than most models we find in the market. Certified for IPR 54 rating, they won’t stop working if operated in dusty environments, splashed with water or dropped from the height of 3 feet.
The durable duo are protected by a layer of rubber and with 1.5GHz TI-OMAP 4460 dual-core processor, 10” display, NFC and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) thrown in for a good measure. Users can also purchase a few accessories separately such as neck strap, hand belts for secure holding and digital pen support. Details on availability and pricing for both tablets models are still so far the big unknowns and Casio also doesn’t tell us the difference between the two.
