Tabeo is a Children-oriented Tablet from Toys ‘R’ Us
Other kids-oriented tablets may need to make way for the Tabeo, a latest entry in the profitable mobile device market. The toy retailer giant has announced a WiFi-only tablet designed for kids and it will feature 50 free apps selected carefully to educate and entertain children. Available at only $149, the tablet is available only in Toys ‘R’ Us stores.
With a 7” display, a 1GHz single-core processor and 4GB of onboard storage; the Tabeo looks like many other low-end Android tablets in the market. The Wi-Fi support allows children to browse safe-content in the Internet easily and a HDMI port allows them to watch stored videos on a TV. Protected by drop-resistant bumper, the tablet is surely a nod to kids and a good choice if you think a $159 Amazon Kindle Fire HD is too fragile for your active children. As always, parents can access specific settings in the tablet to block questionable, inappropriate and objectionable content.
