Although Archos doesn’t revolutionize the gaming industry, the France-based company continues to launch a number of decent gaming devices. The upcoming Archos GamePad 2 is recently spotted visiting the FCC for certification. The agency has also published a number of images of the GamePad 2 during testing. At a glance, it doesn’t seems to alter much from the original GamePad.

The physical buttons are still placed on the sides and there’s a large display at the middle, which is quite likely 7-inch in size. Unfortunately, FCC doesn’t have the habit of revealing detailed hardware specs of devices that pass through its system.

Archos is known for its nicely-built affordable devices, so it’s quite unlikely that the GamePad 2 is equipped with the powerful Nvidia Tegra 4 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processors. It is also fair to assume that the company is eyeing for an official unveiling during the IFA event in Berlin.
