Huawei Ascend G600

Huawei Ascend G600Huawei will be joining other phone makers in IFA 2012, by announcing new handset to its ever-growing Ascend lineup. Meet the Huawei Ascend G600, with the 4.5” IPS display and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Sadly, the 4.5” display only uses qHD resolution (960×540), instead of full-HD. The 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 dual-core processor and 768MB of RAM should run the Ice Cream Sandwich and Huawei’s custom UI quite well.

The G600 may not be sufficiently powerful for some, but should still be attractive if it’s aggressively priced. Users will get an 8Mp rear-facing camera with autofocus and BSI sensor, while the new battery technology allows the phone to be fully charged in four hours. Other features are microSD card slot, front-facing camera, NFC, WiFI Direct, DLNA and Bluetooth. Details on pricing and release date have yet to be announced and the phone should come in black and white options.
